"I have been interested in arts and crafts as long as I can remember, but I have only in recent years unleashed my creative side (again) and started knitting, crocheting, and creating all kinds of craft items and craft kits. I especially enjoy creating and designing craft kits for children and we will be continually offering more types of creative kits and supplies for all ages and interests. About the name of the company: "The name 'Yarn Cat Crafts' is based on three loves of mine: yarn, cats, and all kinds of creative crafts. I credit my beginning love of all arts and crafts to the way I was brought up in a home full of very talented and creative people all around me. I was especially influenced at an early age by my loving (now deceased) mother, who surrounded me with art in all its forms - everything from music, drawing, painting, sewing, and crocheting to various needlework projects and the numerous creative crafting activities she introduced me to. Many of these projects and activities involved a wide array of new as well as scrap materials she had saved and stashed away for future crafting projects. We recycled/reused all kinds of items from around the house that would normally be discarded way before it was the earth-friendly thing to do! Well anyone that knows me well, knows I have numerous stashes of scrap fabric, yarn, thread, fibers, cardboard, boxes, beads, foam, felt, paper, and more just waiting to be used in my occasional to frequent moments of inspired creativity. That is one of the reasons I am so passionate about introducing arts and crafts to others in hopes of inspiring them to unleash their creative side!”

About our cats: "Gia"- is a female short-hair silver tabby with white markings and snow shoes and "Zoey"- (now deceased on 3/23/15) was a female short-hair brown tabby. You will see their photos on various pages of this website."

As of 4/4/2015 we have adopted two inseperable "brothers" both 2 year old Tabbies who were rescued and being cared for at one of our local animal shelters. One is a beautiful and handsome orange tabby with big bright orange eyes named Peyton who is very affectionate. The other buddy/brother is a beautiful handsome brown tabby named "Eli" (previously named "Boots") who has showed us he has various talents such as climbing, jumping and is quite vocal. They are both getting accustomed to their new fur-ever home and my husband and I have seen and experienced their affection sides and know they both love to be petted and brushed.

Our 14 year old female silver tabby cat named "Gia" (with the white markings and the snow shoes) has not yet met the "boys" but they are all getting used to each others scents in various rooms in our house so when we gradually introduce them we are hoping and praying that they will eventually get along and be able to be in the same room. But it is too soon for them to meet but they will eventually in the next week or so.

Special Mention: "I cannot forget to give my thanks and appreciation to all my loving friends and family and the many other special people in my life with whom I have been fortunate to have known. I also want to give meaningful attention to my wonderful, talented, and creative husband - Ed (in the top most photo above with me) and my beautiful, talented, and creative daughter - Devon (in photo on right) who now lives in Texas (by the way - her creative passion is jewelry design)."

Our first grandchild born in February 2011. His name is "Jax" (Short for Jaxson) and he lives in Texas with his mother and father."

October 2011 - Jax February 2012 - Jax and his Daddy...and more pictures get added as our grandson gets older and cuter! Jaxson turned 4 years old on February 8, 2015.
